Disability: what if we took into account the opinion of those concerned?

Taking time to listen to the words of the people being cared for, to listen to their wishes and desires, is not something that is easy to do on a daily basis or in one’s professional practice.

Professionals in the social or medico-social sector, family careers, elected representatives from associations or politicians, but also anyone interested in the subject: this resource is for you.

Based on the of Modèle de Développement Humain – Processus de Production du Handicap (MDPH-PPH, Human Development Model – Disability Production Process) developed by RIPPH, two resources have been produced that document disability issues through the three themes of emotional and sexual relationships, parenting and housing:

  • A study report on the evaluation of the satisfaction of people with disabilities (questionnaire / SMILE).

  • A study report based on video testimonies from people with disabilities, careers and elected representatives. There is a complete version as well as a summary.

These studies are objectified by the use of the MDH-PPH which provides a scientific framework for the work produced.

Reverse interviews

Duo teams (people with disabilities or not) have been formed to carry out interviews with people with disabilities, accompanying persons or elected officials (associations or politicians).
